Businesses selling online in Turkey must have certain informational texts on their websites. These texts are both legal obligations and increase customer trust.
Must-have texts
- ✓Distance selling contract — determines the terms of the sale
- ✓Preliminary information form — information provided to the customer before the order
- ✓Return and withdrawal policy — return process and deadlines
- ✓Privacy policy — how data is processed
- ✓KVKK information text — personal data processing information
- ✓Cookie notice — if you use measurement and advertising cookies
- ✓Contact and business information — title, address, tax information, communication channels
Things to consider
- ✓The business name, address and tax information in the texts must be exactly the same as your real information.
- ✓It is a common mistake that the old company name remains in texts copied from another site.
- ✓Your return periods and shipping conditions must comply with the text.
- ✓At checkout, the customer must confirm the agreement
